Front of House Positions

Concessions workers are needed! This position features flexible scheduling, a fun work environment and free theatre tickets. For more information, email Matt Bennett.

 

Crew Positions

Backstage help is needed for all our shows. If you want to see what life is like backstage and be paid for it, consider working on our Costume, Deck or Wig crews. Crew positions usually last four weeks and are hired beginning four weeks in advance of opening. Call stage management at 585-5632.

Announces Local Auditions

for

MISS SAIGON

Date: Auditions for Pioneer Theatre Company's 2008-2009 Season Finale Miss Saigon will be held Friday, January 16, 2009 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Callbacks will be scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2009; callback times will be announced later. All roles are available, and actors of Asian descent are strongly encouraged to audition.

The first audition will be singing only; an accompanist will be provided. Auditioners should prepare a song in the style of Miss Saigon. A photo and resume are recommended. Scripts may be checked out on an overnight basis from the theatre offices located in room 325 at Simmons PMT as early as Friday, January 9, 2009. Time: AEA (Equity)-only auditions will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, January 16th. AEA members may sign up for any time slot. Non-Equity actors audition from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the same day.

NEW INFORMATION:  AEA (Equity) members may call ahead to sign up for a time slot. Equity members may call Elizabeth Williamson at 585-5855 to schedule an audition time. This service is available ONLY to Equity members.

Location: Auditions will be held in Room 245 of the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre.

Casting: Miss Saigon includes roles for several men and women, all over the age of 18. All roles are open. Actors and actresses of Asian descent are strongly encouraged to audition.

Rehearsal and Production Information: Rehearsal dates for the production are Monday, April 4, 2009 - Thursday, April 30, 2009; performance dates are May 1, 2009 - May 16, 2009. Karen Azenberg will direct and choreograph, and Edward G. Robinson will be the musical director.

Synopsis: This is the Boublil and Schönberg epic musical based on Madame Butterfly, set in the era of the Vietnam War.


Out of Area Auditions (New York City and Los Angeles)   

Required LORT Equity Principal Auditions are held annually in New York and once every three years in Los Angeles and are scheduled through and announced by Actors' Equity Association.  Required Equity Chorus Calls are held in New York City for Chorus musicals and are scheduled through and announced by Actors' Equity Association. Principal auditions in New York are by appointment only and are scheduled through Pioneer Theatre Company's New York Casting Director, Rich Cole Casting. Breakdowns for each production are sent to, and submissions accepted from, Equity franchised agents.
