Auditions for the first show in Pioneer Theatre Company’s 2008- 2009 Season, My Fair Lady, will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Callbacks are scheduled for Thursday, June 19, 2008; that time will be announced. All roles are available.

AEA (Equity)-only auditions will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, but AEA members can sign up for any time slot. Non-Equity auditioners may audition from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on that same day. Auditions will be held in Room 245 at the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. All auditioners must sign up for a time on the callboard in Room 325 at the Roy W. and Elizabeth E. Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. The sign-up sheet will be posted by noon on Monday, June 9, 2008.

The first audition will be singing only; an accompanist will be provided. Auditioners should prepare a song from the show or a Broadway show tune in a similar style. A photo and resume are recommended. Scripts may be checked out on an overnight basis from the theatre offices located in room 325 at Simmons PMT as early as Monday, June 9. Rehearsal dates for the production are Monday, August 25, 2008 – Thursday, September 18, 2008; performance dates are September 19, 2008 – October 4, 2008. Charles Morey will direct, Patti D’Beck will choreograph, and Lawrence Goldberg will be the Musical Director.

Casting for My Fair Lady includes roles for men and women over the age of 18. This is the complete stage version of the original Lerner and Loewe classic.
